Graphic Designer
Must to...

As a graphic designer, you must understand the purpose or final use of the design and what type of medium will be used for it. Then you can determine how it will develop or compose the layout. Nowadays, it’s easy to forget that digital compositions or digital marketing need slightly different construction or format. The format of the files will also vary, from something that will be printed out as opposed to displayed on the screen.
Perhaps, if something needs to be printed out, one will need to be aware of bleed, inset margin, color profile, and other details to ensure the quality of the final product.

Graphic Designer Cases

    Designers must fulfill:
  • Manage expectations - Carefully define the parameters and deliverables.
  • Once expectations are set, work to exceed them.
  • Listen carefully and send notes with action items after each review.

Case Study:

PayLess Auto Insurance
Payless Insurance is a company that serves a multicultural community, with a primary focus on Latino neighborhoods. They aim to be seen as part of this community and to understand its needs. The client has requested a quick design for their stationery marketing, to be completed within 1 to 2 days. They want to emphasize their brand colors while also listing their products and locations clearly.
I decided to exploit a bold contrast of vivid colors and then assemble a pattern that complements their elements, such as the logo and headings, resulting in a vibrant design that resonates with the happiest members of the target group. I then prepared the file for offset printing, ensuring the colors had the perfect bleed for the final physical product.

Case Study:

Store Newsletter
The flower shop required the design, layout, and print of their newsletter within 4 days of their request. The client provided rough sketches outlining the main idea. I had to work over the phone with the client, and after a few revisions and feedback, the client was pleased with the outcome.

Case Study:

Meson Restaurant
The Meson Restaurant wanted something more classic, with the feel of home-made traditional cuisine. They also want to show some images from the most iconic plates. The typography is clear to read. I created the contrast in the composition by using the color, size, or weight to emphasize important messages.
The business cards and fliers share the same concept, enhancing their branding.
